I never imagined spending so much time photographing something that doesn’t move! But fungi can be massively time consuming. Trying to find a specimen in good condition is half the battle, then comes tidying the area without causing damage and then trying to perfect composition and lighting. It becomes easy to lose track of the time when your are foraging amongst the moss and fallen leaves, but it’s worth it.
